Specify the application before choosing a tank
Select an expansion tank from the system fluid volume, minimum and maximum temperature, cold fill pressure at the tank connection, relief-valve setting, fluid composition, and required acceptance volume. Also specify vertical, horizontal, or inline installation; connection size and thread standard; replaceable or fixed diaphragm; destination market; and quantity. Published nominal capacity is not the same as acceptance volume, so confirm the model’s acceptance data and pressure-temperature limits before ordering. For preliminary calculations, use the linked sizing guide; for a project review, send the full operating conditions rather than only a requested tank size.
